Cadence McShane Awarded 350,986 S.F. Industrial Project from First Industrial in Houston, Texas

Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected by developer, First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., to provide the comprehensive construction services for a new 350,986 square foot light industrial speculative facility known as First Northwest Commerce Center. Situated within the premier Northwest Houston submarket and located just off of Beltway 8, the new industrial development will be constructed on a 24-acre site at 4800 West Greens Road also providing convenient access to Tomball Parkway, Sam Houston Tollway and Interstate 45.

First Northwest Commerce Center will offer an optimal environment to support a single- or multi-tenant environment for users requiring sizable distribution and warehouse accommodations and a minimum of 40,000 square feet or more.  The state-of-the-art facility will feature a 32’ clear height, 130’ truck courts, 90 dock doors and available on-site trailer parking.  Cadence McShane will incorporate modern features throughout the building such as T5 lighting, an ESFR sprinkler system, clerestory windows and skylights to provide cost-savings and energy efficient benefits.  The assignment also includes the project’s sitework including landscaping and generous surface parking areas surrounding the facility to accommodate 258 vehicles.

Munson Kennedy Partnership is providing the architectural services for this sizable speculative industrial development slated for occupancy as early as Fourth Quarter 2014.
