Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm was awarded the 82,000 square foot renovation assignment on behalf of L-3 Link Simulation & Training, a division of L-3 Communications. Headquartered in Arlington, Texas, the growing firm occupies a facility at 2200 Arlington Downs Road that is currently being updated and modernized by Cadence McShane with completion scheduled for April 2015.
L-3 Link is a leading systems integrator that supplies advanced simulation systems, training services and aircraft contractor logistics support for U.S. and international military services, as well as civil aviation and commercial markets. The firm employs approximately 800 team members at its Arlington headquarters location who are involved in software and systems development, visual systems design, advanced simulation technology development and training systems support for domestic and international military training.
The 82,000 square foot renovation assignment, currently underway by Cadence McShane, includes the reconfiguration of the facility’s departments and offices, a strategic upgrade and expansion of employee service areas and expansion of the building’s data center.
Exterior improvements will also be implemented including the construction of a new main entry and lobby that will be accented with an attractive glass curtainwall providing an abundance of natural light into the facility. Construction of a new canopy structure for the building’s courtyard will also be completed allowing more comfortable seating and outdoor space for the employees occupying the facility.
