July 12, 2016

Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that Steven A. Levy has joined the firm as Vice President of Education.

In this role, Levy will provide growth and leadership for the firm’s market expansion within the K-12 education sector. He will work in partnership with Michael Geach, Vice President at Cadence McShane, in the pursuit and implementation of K 12 projects on a local and regional basis. His responsibilities also include oversight in the planning, pre-construction and project management for educational assignments on behalf of the firm’s Dallas, Texas headquarters operation.

Levy is a highly-respected construction professional with 32 years of experience.  Prior to joining Cadence McShane, he was Vice President of Operations at Balfour Beatty Construction where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the firm’s education sector.  In 1995, he was commissioned to move to Dallas where he built his first school and has been serving the educational construction market ever since.

Throughout his career, Levy has perfected the strategic leadership required to build and foster strong working relationships and further desired positions within selected market segments.   His unique understanding of the K-12 market throughout Texas, coupled with his seasoned construction experience, will allow him to identify, cultivate and execute new opportunities and advance Cadence McShane’s project portfolio.

“We are pleased to welcome Steven Levy to the Cadence McShane team,” remarked Hodges.  “Steven’s experience will provide the firm with the capacity and depth to immediately enhance our position in the K-12 market.  As we continue to focus on this robust sector, I look forward to calling upon Steven’s expertise to further our growth opportunities throughout Dallas and beyond.”

Levy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Florida International University.  He is currently a board member of the Construction Education Foundation of North Texas (CEF), Friends of Texas Public Schools, and Chairman of the City of Murphy Planning and Zoning Commission.  He is a resident of Murphy where he lives with his wife of 26 years, Kathryn, and their three children.
