Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected by Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) to complete the comprehensive renovation and expansion projects at Brinker Elementary School located at 3800 Clark Parkway in Plano, Texas and J.M. Daffron Elementary School located at 3900 Preston Meadow Drive in Plano, Texas.
The Brinker Elementary School will encompass the renovation of 67,676 square feet and the new construction of 21,048 square feet. Classrooms, library, kitchen, cafeteria and gym will be updated and modernized. The exterior of the school will benefit from a new main entry appearance and enhancements to the parking area, sidewalks, playground and landscaping. The enlargement of existing classrooms to accommodate greater flexibility and technology requirements will also be completed at Brinker.
The construction assignment at J.M. Daffron Elementary School includes the renovation of 67,676 square feet and a 17,000 square foot addition. Daffron will benefit from the reconstruction of its main entry including a larger entrance canopy and administrative area. Greater flexibility and technology requirements will be supported with enlarged classrooms. The kitchen, cafeteria, library and gym will also be upgraded and modernized.
Both assignments will break ground in March 2013 with completions in August 2014. Brinker and Daffron will remain open throughout construction facilitated by the safety procedures of the Cadence McShane professionals.
