Cadence McShane Construction Company has received Project Achievement Awards by CMAA North Texas both Allen ISD STEAM Center and McKinney High School Performing Arts Center Addition and Renovations projects, in “recognition and promotion of professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process for projects and programs that reflect this mission.”
Allen ISD’s STEAM Center is a two-story, ground-up educational facility that has the ability to hold up to 500 high school students in STEAM-related courses such as science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics while also serving as a destination for elementary and middle school field trip experiences. The building includes a Sci-Max theatre for large group educational programs, an Exploratorium that features and OmniGlobe Spherical Display system, a robotics center, a digital media lab, and science and physics laboratories.
The McKinney High School Performing Arts Center Addition and Renovation project includes a new 61,300-square-foot, multi-story Performing Arts Center addition which features a large auditorium, a black box theatre, dance hall, and green room. The auditorium has the capacity to seat 1,020 people and is used not only be the students of McKinney High School, but also the entire community of McKinney, Texas.
