Cadence McShane Construction Company, Watershed Development Group, and Mark Odom Studio recently celebrated the “Topping Out” milestone for the micro-apartment project located at 6th and Chicon in East Austin, as the project team placed the uppermost steel member of the building.
6th and Chicon is a 34,364-square-foot, podium-style, multifamily project that will feature 60 micro-apartments ranging from 252 square feet to 465 square feet. The building is within walking distance of Plaza Saltillo Transit Oriented Development, providing residents easy access to Austin’s public transportation system and the means to reach across this vibrant city.
The property will feature amenities tailored to the needs of its residents, including multiple co-working spaces, workout rooms on each level, multiple community kitchens, and outdoor spaces including a rooftop patio with incredible views of Downtown Austin.
“The Topping Out of a project is exciting and we are thrilled to reach this milestone,” commented Business Unit Leader and Vice President of Cadence McShane, Tyler Earle. “This was made possible by the team of individuals that have worked hard to get us here and we are so grateful for everyone who has been part of this project since the beginning.”
The project is scheduled for completion in early 2023 and will soon be ready to welcome residents to their new home.
