Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has completed its first project for Aldine Independent School (Aldine ISD) district, the construction of Jones Middle School. The school is located on 4.8 acres of land at 20155 Townsen Boulevard in Humble, Texas, a northern suburb of Houston.
The project included the new construction of the single-story, 202,000-square-foot middle school. Inside, the school integrates 49 classrooms, 12 science labs and a library. The building also holds a kitchen/cafeteria and both a practice gym and a competition gym that seats 379. Outside, students and teachers will be able to take advantage of a teaching theater/outdoor classroom that will allow students to experience learning in a more relaxed setting.
“Although Cadence McShane has completed many schools in the Houston area, this was our first time working with Aldine Independent School district,” remarked Hodges. “We are very pleased with how the school turned out and are grateful to have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of the students in Aldine ISD.”
Cadence McShane also completed sitework for the school that included tree removal and the construction of a 263 parking spaces. The architect on record is Morris Architects, Inc.
