On Friday afternoon, November 22, CRG Development hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for 401 Hemphill Apartments, a new multifamily housing complex located on two acres in the bustling Near Southside neighborhood of Fort Worth.
Keynote speakers included David Tague – Vice President, Housing & Senior Living of Cadence McShane Construction, Jay Case – Partner, Multifamily of CRG Real Estate, and Mike Brennan – President of Near South Side, Inc. In attendance included CRG leadership and Cadence McShane’s project team.
Cadence McShane is serving as the general contractor on this new 320,646-square-foot multifamily project, designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC).
The five-story, 242-unit building includes 4,500 square feet of first class amenity space featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center, co-working space and a landscaped courtyard with an infinity-edged pool, barbecue grills, fire pits, and terraced seating.
Additionally, a five-story, precast parking garage is being constructed which will connect to the apartment building, providing 277 parking spaces.
“This is a great development opportunity for CRG, but the project would not be possible without our partners Cadence McShane, Wintrust Financial Corporation and SNK Capital,” said CRG’s Jay Case, Partner, Multifamily. “CRG is excited to expand our multifamily portfolio in the Fort Worth market, in the heart of the vibrant Near Southside neighborhood and the growing medical district where there is a strong demand for housing.”
“We are excited to begin construction on this unique multifamily complex in Fort Worth,” remarked David Tague, Vice President of Housing and Senior Living for Cadence McShane. “We look forward to partnering with CRG and LJC to bring this project to fruition.”
Resident occupancy is schedule for the second quarter of 2021.
