Cadence McShane Delivers Affordable Apartments in Round Rock

Cadence McShane Construction Company has completed The Preserve at Mustang Creek, a 252-unit affordable housing community in Round Rock, Texas, developed by Broadway Street Development.

Designed by Merriman Anderson Architects, the thoughtfully planned community integrates three-story garden-style apartment buildings centered around a clubhouse. The property offers one- to four-bedroom floor plans, providing high-quality housing options for households earning 30 to 60 percent of the area median income.

Each residence is appointed with contemporary finishes and features, including kitchen islands, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood-style flooring, carpeted bedrooms, full-size washers and dryers, and private patios or balconies.

Residents can enjoy an array of amenities, such as an outdoor swimming pool, picnic areas with barbeque grills, an outdoor playground, an indoor playscape, a fitness center with a dedicated spin room, and a café kitchen and activity room. Covered parking is available to residents through carports and detached garages.

The Preserve at Mustang Creek incorporates sustainable design with a substantial solar carport, which offsets 90 to 100 percent of the communal electricity consumption.

Partial funding for the development was provided by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
