Brinker Elementary School Additions & Renovations
Cadence McShane Construction Company served as construction manager at risk for the additions and renovations of Brinker Elementary School located in Plano, Texas. Cadence McShane divided the work for the Plano ISD elementary school into multiple phases.
Within the facility, there was a 21,048-square-foot addition that was required in order to achieve Texas Education Agency facility standards for classroom and support space to facilitate improved flexibility and technology. The educational facility included the renovation of the existing 68,825-square-foot campus. Features that were renovated in the interior of the elementary school included expansions of the administration suite, enclosure of the library, and upgrades to kitchen equipment, MEP systems and roof. Cadence McShane provided sitework including a new parking area, sidewalks, playground pad, and landscape-irrigation.
The multiple phases were completed during the school year and over two summers to minimize disruption to school operations. Cadence McShane utilized every safety process to keep students and staff safely away from the construction areas.
