Frisco ISD Career & Technology Education Center
Cadence McShane Construction Company was selected as construction manager at risk in 2008 for Frisco ISD’s Career & Technology Education Center, a 125,618-square-foot career and technology center located in Frisco, Texas. The Career and Technical Education (CATE) Center is a state-of-the-art facility with real-world learning spaces and equipment for high school students.
The facility features classrooms, laboratories, a television studio, food service spaces and administration spaces. The steel structure is covered by masonry, composite metal panels, zinc panels and glass curtain walls. Landscaping was also installed along with a 781-parking space lot and a 4,000-square-foot greenhouse.
In 2015, Cadence McShane was selected as construction manager at risk for the CATE center to complete a 44,090-square-foot, two-story addition that included eight new classrooms, adjoining support space and renovations to ten multi-purpose labs, two teacher workshops, corridors and restrooms.
