Houston Community College
Cadence McShane Construction Company served as the design-builder to complete the comprehensive renovations for the Administrative and Communications Headquarters for Houston Community College System, the largest community college on the Gulf Coast.
HCCS purchased an abandoned 12-story, 531,000-square-foot midtown Houston office building that required extensive renovation, together with the construction of an attached eight-story, 1,450-car parking garage complete with an enclosed pedestrian walkway. Cadence McShane’s reconstruction included the highly sophisticated information technology department and computer data center, the culinary arts department, a new auditorium, public dining facilities, the chancellor’s and administrative areas, classrooms and conference rooms.
