Lake Highlands Middle School
Lake Highlands Middle School is a new 249,000-square-foot campus serving 1,500 students in grades 6 through 8. The three-story facility includes classrooms, administration space, a cafeteria, two competition gyms, a weight room, and outdoor athletic amenities including a track, practice field, and tennis courts. Constructed with concrete foundations, a structural steel frame, and concrete deck systems, the campus features an exterior composed of brick masonry, metal panels, glass curtain walls, and engineered wood elements. The competition gyms were designed and constructed to serve as storm shelters utilizing ICF construction, steel framing, and concrete roof decking. The completed campus provides Richardson ISD with a modern learning environment designed to support collaboration, student engagement, and long-term community growth.
