Cadence McShane Construction Company served as construction manager at risk on Sterling Aviation High School, a 252,000-square-foot educational facility that specializes in the aviation field, located in Houston, Texas. The three-story, LEED-Certified Houston ISD high school was built adjacent to the existing high school which sits on 22.5 acres.
Sterling Aviation High School is home of Houston ISD’s high school aviation magnet, logistics and global supply program where students gain first-hand skills and knowledge that is needed for college and career readiness. This unique and high-profile educational facility includes a three-story glass atrium entryway featuring an adjacent airplane hangar where students will gain first-hand technical experience working on aircrafts. Additional areas within the school include an athletics center, a fine arts area, a life skills area and administrative offices.
