Lowell H. Strike Middle School
Lowell H. Strike Middle School is a three-story, 194,000-square-foot school located in The Colony, Texas. The ground-up middle school includes 46 classrooms, band and music rooms, science laboratories, and a combined competition gymnasium and precast storm shelter. Constructed on a 23.5-acre site, the campus also includes four tennis courts, a track, and practice football stadium complete with a press box. This middle school has the capacity for up to 945 students.
Designed by Huckabee Architects, the campus features inviting courtyards, a learning stair, and remarkable design. The wood components bring contemporary style while the brick and metal panels provide modern elements. The open layout of the school allows students to see the cafeteria and main areas directly from the entrance.
Cadence McShane also constructed Scotty’s Lake Lane, the street on which Strike Middle School is located, in order to have access to the site and now functioning campus. This school, with its many academic and athletic amenities, provides each student with a place to realize their full potential.
