The ‘68 Apartments at Hemisfair
Cadence McShane Construction Company completed The ‘68 Apartments at Hemisfair, a 283,217-square-foot, cold-form metal framed multifamily and mixed-use development in San Antonio, Texas. The eight-story, wrap-style building is located on a 1.097-acre site.
The 118,573-square-foot residential community consists of 151 total units with 129 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom apartments. The development includes a leasing office, fitness center, creative office, and retail space totaling 8,364 square feet. Cadence McShane completed a 156,298-square-foot, seven level, parking garage that accommodates 394 vehicles.
Cadence McShane was engaged by the client early on in the design process. This allowed the firm to provide preconstruction services and assist the client in a cost-benefit analysis of several product types to determine the best options to meet their goals. After addressing usage, adaptability of the product, overall asset value, impact to the schedule, construction cost, and impact to the client’s pro-forma, cold-form metal framing was selected for the project.
