Will Hodges, President of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the construction of The Bowden is officially complete in Keller, Texas. The multi-purpose campus was delivered on behalf of the Greater Keller Women’s Club on a 5.6-acre site located off of Keller Parkway.
Founded in 1989, the Greater Keller Women’s Club is a local organization dedicated to furthering the welfare of individuals within the community and its fellow members through philanthropy, fundraising and outreach. The Bowden, which incorporates both an event center and an adjacent chapel, advances the organization’s capabilities by providing contemporary space to support its continued growth and activities.
Situated on the east side of the property, the 28,000-square-foot state-of-the-art event center features a sizable main room incorporating a performance stage and high-tech audio visual equipment creating an ideal environment for meetings and events. A full-service kitchen, dressing rooms, private offices, conference rooms and an outdoor patio are also included.
Located to the west of the event center and connected by a trellised walkway, Cadence McShane constructed the single-story, 8,000-square-foot chapel. Accessed through an interior foyer, the grand chapel is highlighted by intricate woodwork, millwork and an abundance of natural light provided by large windows that overlook an outdoor patio area and landscaped site.
The architectural design of the chapel features a classic gabled roof and an elegant façade utilizing a combination of stone and stucco. Complementary to the adjacent structure, the event center boasts an artfully clad exterior utilizing a harmonious mix of masonry, stone and stucco.
“We are delighted to complete The Bowden which provides the space and amenities needed to support the Greater Keller Women’s Club and the important work that they do for the community,” Hodges remarked. “The Cadence McShane project team contributed the expertise needed to deliver this multi-purpose campus with a focus on high-level and detailed design.”
All sitework was completed by Cadence McShane including landscaping, sidewalks and paved parking for 189 vehicles. Jacobs & Associates provided the architectural services.
