Austin, Texas – A new senior living development hit the “Topping Out” milestone last week, signaling the structure has reached its full height. Anthology Senior Living, Cadence McShane Construction Company, and OZ Architecture hosted a Topping Out Ceremony at the site of Anthology of The Arboretum on Friday, July 15th in Austin, Texas, as the project team placed the uppermost steel member.
Anthology of The Arboretum is a sophisticated senior living community nestled comfortably in the Gateway neighborhood of Austin, Texas, a short distance from The Domain shopping district. This community offers easy access to retail, dining, and recreation activities to fit any lifestyle for its residents.
Designed by OZ Architecture and built by Cadence McShane Construction, the team worked closely with Anthology Senior Living to design and build a community comprised of 130 assisted living units – 24 of which will be memory care – across the five-story property on a site more than 2 acres.
This boutique-style community includes amenities such as a fitness center, discovery room, theater, clubhouse, salon and barber shop, and several dining spots. Residents will even be able to enjoy gourmet meals on the rooftop terrace at the community’s bar and bistro.
Not to be outdone by the interior, the exterior of Anthology of The Arboretum stays true to its name with beautifully manicured landscaping and a courtyard that utilizes the site’s heritage trees and other plant species native to the area.

The development of Anthology of The Arboretum marks the third Anthology Senior Living project built by Cadence McShane Construction Company in the state of Texas and we are thrilled to soon complete another successful project with this team.
